Alma Gráfica

Alma Gráfica is a print studio specialized in letterpress, where I worked as a junior designer. This case brings together the work I did there: packaging, printed pieces and the photography that documented them.I designed the packaging for Maçã Padaria and the sleeve for Alma's own origami card holder, working within the constraints of letterpress: every choice of type, weight and spacing has to survive being pressed into paper, and the process rewards restraint.I also photographed Alma's own creations, capturing their textures and the character of handmade stationery. Photographing letterpress is always a challenge, especially in macro. The depth, the shadows and the subtle impressions demand a sensitive eye to reveal the craft behind each print.
